Leicestershire County Council Inspire to Care

Inspired to Care (part of LCC) are working with private social care providers to recruit new community care professionals to help protect the most vulnerable people during the coronavirus pandemic.

We have created an online application and fast-track recruitment and training process to enable us to get people into roles as quickly as possible. This will help to fill the gaps in the social care workforce. Our aim is to keep people safe and well at home during the pandemic and support the NHS to ensure they have enough capacity in hospitals.

These roles do not require prior care work experience or any qualifications. We will be recruiting based on values and behaviours and will be providing full training to all successful candidates.

The roles we are recruiting for are paid positions. We have vacancies across the county and can offer people permanent or temporary work on full-time, part-time, or flexible contracts. This means that these opportunities are ideal for people who are looking to earn money during the pandemic but may have a business or previous job to return to once it is over (although we hope that some will find their vocation in adult social care). We are particularly keen to reach out to people who have expressed an interest in community volunteering opportunities, but are also in a position to take up a paid role. These people are likely to have the essential values of compassion, kindness, patience, and a commitment to helping others. By becoming a care professional, they are able to make a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable people in their communities, whilst also earning a salary.
